Galliano

A straw-coloured Italian liqueur flavoured with herbs and spices.  It is well known because of its contribution to Harvey Wallbanger and Golden Cadillac.

Genever

Dutch gin is frequently sold in stoneware bottles.  It is also known as Hollands and in the past as Schiedam(an old centre of gin distillery near Rotterdam.) Genever is distilled from fermented rye, barley and maize and flavoured with juniper, coriander, caraway and aniseed (40d)

Gentiane

An aperitif liqueur with a bitter-sweet taste based on gentian root and alcohol.

Gin

A grain spirit flavoured with juniper and coriander (40d). its name comes from Genever. The best-known gin today is London Dry Gin, very dry and lightly flavoured, an essential ingredient in many cocktails.

Plymouth Gin is sweeter and lighter. BN Beefeater, Booth, Burnett’s Coats (Plymouth Gin), Gilbeys, Gordons, Greenalls, Squires, Tanqueray.

Goldschlager

A cinnamon schnapps liqueur with small, floating flakes of gold leaf. It is well known for its distinctive spicy and sweet flavour.

Glayva

Scotch liqueur based on whisky, honey and herbs (40d)

Green Chartreuse

A French herbal liqueur made by Carthusian monks. It has a complex flavour profile and is often enjoyed as a digestif or used as an ingredient in cocktails.

Grand Marnier

(BN) a liqueur based on cognac and orange (40d). Just like many orange-flavoured liqueurs, it’s made from the orange peel of the curacao type.

Grappa

An Italian brandy distilled from grape skins (40d).

Grenadine

A red syrup flavoured with pomegranate.  A popular addition to many different cocktails.
