Bar Measurements and Their Equivalents
Spend enough time out there looking at mixed drinks and cocktails, you are likely to run across many of the measurements listed in the Tables below.
You’ll find some may be listed in recipes; other measurement terms are handy to know when you’re buying alcohol.
If you are looking to freak out your friendly local bottle shop clerk, try telling them you want to buy a Jeroboam of wine. See whether they ask which brand you want four bottles of.

There are plenty of different ways to mix your favorite drink, if you are entertaining stick to the measurements of what you are making.
Sticking to the measurements it’s a great way to ensure you aren’t overloading your guest with booze, also it makes sure you get the most flavor out of each cocktail and you’re not wasting spirits.
