American Legion Margarita
The American Legion Margarita is a twist on the Classic Margarita. Still, a Tequila cocktail with orange, lemon, and lime flavors mixed throughout. With the ever-present rim dipped in salt on the class.
A classic girls’ night out or even entertaining at home on a cocktail night. It’s just delightful with the lemon and lime flavors mixed in with Cointreau. You can add this to the list of Margarita recipes to master.

Best drinking for the American Legion Margarita
It was described as the most popular mixed drink in America in 2004. You can pretty much drink it whenever you want.
There are plenty of different variations to the Classic Margarita as well
What’s in an American Legion Margarita
Tequila
A very popular Mexican beverage, dating back to the 16th century. Made from the blue agave plant.
Cointreau
Is a brand of orange-flavored triple sec liqueur, produced in France. Also one of my favorite liqueurs.
Lemon and Lime Juice
Fresh lemons and limes are always best. try to stay away from bottled juices. That really will spoil the cocktail.
Salt
Probably not the standard Saxa salt. But it will do in a pinch.
Ice
Ice cubes into the shaker is the perfect way. But if you prefer crushed ice that is perfectly ok too.
Which glass do I use?
Well it’s a Margarita, so I’d recommend a suitable glass. Something like the lav Margarita glass, which comes in a set of 6. Perfect glasses and they are made in Europe. So they are also a little fancy.
