The French Martini is a modern classic that brings a touch of Parisian elegance to the cocktail world. It is also one of our favorite cocktails to make when the girls are over.
Originally created in the 1980s during the flavored vodka craze. It’s a sophisticated drink blending vodka with the sweet notes of Chambord. A black raspberry liqueur from France. Mixed with the tropical brightness of pineapple juice.
The result is a smooth, fruity cocktail with a striking balance of tartness and sweetness, crowned with a frothy, golden top.
Stylish, simple, and effortlessly chic, the French Martini has become a Favorite for those who enjoy a glamorous yet approachable sip, think Sex in the City crowd.
French Martini
I first tried one of these vodka based martinis a few years ago. On a night out with some girlfriends at a fancy restaurant. I do enjoy a sweet fruity type of cocktail more then anything. So the pineapple was a big tick and mixed with the raspberry flavored liqueur Chambord it was a sensational cocktail.
At home I use what ever Vodka I have on hand.
Chambord
Chambord is a luxurious French black raspberry liqueur that adds richness and depth to cocktails like the French Martini. Produced in the Loire Valley of France, it’s made from a blend of black raspberries, red raspberries, Madagascan vanilla, Moroccan citrus peel, honey, and cognac. Creating a complex flavor profile that’s both fruity and slightly floral.
With its deep ruby-purple color and elegant round bottle topped with a gold crown, Chambord is as visually striking as it is delicious. it’s often used to bring a sweet, berry-forward note to cocktails, champagne spritzers, and even desserts, making it a versatile staple in a well-stocked bar.
