Description

This drink dates back to the early 20th century, appearing in Harry Craddock’s Savoy Cocktail Book (1930). It’s a lesser-known classic, but beautifully balanced, sitting somewhere between a Sidecar and a Martinez in style.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 measures Cognac
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons Maraschino
  • 2 teaspoons curacao

Instructions

  • Pour into a cocktail shaker containing some ice cubes.
  • Shake well.
  • Dampen the rim of a brandy snifter and frost with sugar
  • Pour in the cocktail and drop in an ice cube.
