Description
This drink dates back to the early 20th century, appearing in Harry Craddock’s Savoy Cocktail Book (1930). It’s a lesser-known classic, but beautifully balanced, sitting somewhere between a Sidecar and a Martinez in style.
Ingredients

- 2 measures Cognac
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons Maraschino
- 2 teaspoons curacao
Instructions
- Pour into a cocktail shaker containing some ice cubes.
- Shake well.
- Dampen the rim of a brandy snifter and frost with sugar
- Pour in the cocktail and drop in an ice cube.
